Nerikomi
Nerikomi is a decorative process originated in Japan, using colored clay. One creates designs, like the flowers on my pots, and forms the designs into a roll, called a cane. The design image is presented on the cross-section of the cane, much like a sushi roll. A slice of the image is inlayed in patterns on the surface of the pot and integrated into the body of the pot.
