Serving bowl with a center of white and green flowers. The flowers are formed by a process called Nerikomi, an ancient Japanese decorative process. Colored clay is shaped into a design, in this case, a flower and formed into a tube, called a cane. The cane is sliced thinly in the cross section, and this slice is inlayed into a slab of clay which is used to form the pot.
The border glaze is a sparkling light green glaze with crystal formations. Zoom in to the glaze to see it's beauty.
